I’m just getting started

I understand the basic concepts and terminology, but a lot of AI still feels unfamiliar.

I know enough to use it

I regularly use AI tools and understand the basics, but I don’t always know what’s happening under the hood.

I can build with it

I understand the core concepts and can work with AI APIs, models, agents, RAG, evaluation, etc., but I’m still catching up on newer developments.

I understand what’s happening under the hood

I’m comfortable discussing architectures, research, trade-offs and implementation details, and I can usually distinguish real advances from hype.

I’m at the frontier

I actively follow research and emerging developments, experiment with new techniques, and can contribute meaningfully to discussions with AI practitioners.
